Globalization Reflection

This cartoon is under cultural, social, and technology. We used juxtaposition and caricature in our political cartoon. We used this because we wanted to explain how the African culture looked like. Also, we positioned people together to separate the two cultures from each other. Like the African American’s are together playing music and dancing and their clothes represent their own culture and practices. We used caricature to show how different the african culture is from the American culture. For example Allyson drew big noses on the Africans to show that other cultures wear jewelry differently than the Americans. 

The message of our political cartoon is that when people move from their original place they normally forget what their culture is. Our evidence is that African American woman and an American man are face timing with the African American’s tribe. Once the African American woman sees what the other Africans tribe is doing she says “OMG, what are y’all doing, ain’t seen nothing like that?” Meaning that she has forgotten the festival that her culture does every year. This is very common in the world because a lot of people now leave their original country/state/continent because their parent’s jobs have moved around the world.

How has cultural/social, technological/environmental, and political/economic globalization transformed our world?  (Give some specific examples from our unit, ITN’s etc)  

There are so many ways globalization has changed our world. For example, the one most is technology. You can now contact your friends even when you are in once place and they are in another. Also, who would of thought you could shop online? In the olden days you would have to go to a shopping mall and go to like 100 different shops to find the right shirt you're looking for. Now, we can go to many shops, buy them online, and then send them right to your house. Online their are many videos of Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, and all the other people running for president. It is very helpful because when you are watching these you can see what they saw, how is it impacting you and America, also get to know more about the running presidents. 

Also, if we did agressive carbon cut we could help stop climate change which is very bad. So, that's globalization because it's going to go all over the world if we don't stop it.

Paragraph 2:  How has and will aspects of globalization impact your life?  (Give specific examples.)

I moved from America when I was little. When I moved I learned about a lot of different cultures. Like, I learned about the muslim culture, also learned in deeper depth about Buddha. Also, the Chinese culture. I am learning Chinese now so in the future I can speak english and Chinese because those are the two main languages most likely in the world for people to know. Technology is already impacting my life because now I contact my friends on skype, watch videos from people all over the world, and look at pictures on my mom's facebook to see what is up with my school, my family, and more. This is how globalization has transformed our world and how it's impacted me.
