1,000 Lockers Explanation

Image
There are there are are 31 lockers open. These are the numbers of lockers open. 1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81,100,121,144,169,196,225,256,289,324,361,400,441,484,529,576,625,676,729,741,900,and 961. This is the answer because, first I drew 1-30, as numbers. Then I went through 30 to see which ones would be closed and which ones would be opened. They changed a lot, especially 30. After I did the closing and opening, I found which one was opened. This is because the question is which locker doors are opened. I saw that all the numbers that were opened were square numbers. Square number a the product of a number multiplied by itself.  Like, 6 times 6 = 36. So, I found all the square numbers to 1000 because all the ones that were opened for 30 was square. So, the answers is the square numbers. I observed that on the the first opened their is 2 in between until the next opened number, second is 4in between, the 6, then 8, so in those up to thirty it’s 2 in between. Another way to do t...

Swimming Reflection

Image
I was 7th in the first video for the 20 meter swim: What I did well was breathing from side to side, and what I need to work on is my shark fin, and maybe getting it a little higher.    A perfect freestyle is you always breath to every single side. So, when you breath turn to the side with head on your arm, then when you breath again turn onto the opposite side of the one you breathed on last.  Your arms will be opposite too, first one of your arms will be in the air like a shark's fin then glide into the water gentle an stretching your arm as long as you can. Your other arm will have to push the water and then it goes in a cycle. For your legs you will have to kick like you are fluttering. So, kick lightly, but just  enough  to make you powerful, and that's a perfect freestyle  stroke .  For my  biathlon  I  preserved  by saying, I didn't have much more to go, I can do this. I realized that if I wanted...

Volume is a the amount of space that a object takes up. Volume of liquids means the amount of litters in an object, and it is measured in liters. Smaller volumes are measured in milliliters. To find volume of liquids, you use a graduated cylinder and read the bottom of the meniscus. The meniscus is the bottom of the bubble in the graduated cylinder.   It is important to make sure you look at the cylinder and determine the graduates before you make a reading .

Math Reflections: Factors and Multiples

1. It is helpful because if you need to find common factors and multiples for to see what the LCM(least common factor) or the GCF(Greatest common factor).   2a. Well you can use the window method example: let's use 14 and 49.  This is the factors of 14:1,2,7,14  This is the factors for 49: 1,7,49 If you looks at them 7 is the common factor and  is also the greatest common factor.  2b. It gives that there is no other number that is higher then that factor. Let's use 49 and 14 again.  This is the factors of 14:1,2,7,14  This is the factors for 49: 1,7,49 If you looks at them 7 is the common factor and  is also the greatest common factor. 7 is the greatest common factor right? So, that means that no other number can be a then 7.  3a. Well list some multiples and look for the first least common multiple. For example: 12 and 4.  Twelve's  first 3 multiples is 12,24,36. Four's firs...

8 is Awesome Number!

Image
TEN is a person who is dying to hit the stage on day one of drama and would willingly perform in front of all of 6th grade right NOW!  ONE is a person who would rather be ANYWHERE but the stage and would prefer to be wrapped up in a blanket back in their bed hugging their teddy bear. On this scale of one to ten, I would be a 8 because I can't also think about an act off the top of my head and I would be scared. I am sometimes confident because sometimes I am nervous if I make a mistake, or even maybe they won't like it, or even I will forget something. When I was little I was a ballerina and I was a bird, and I was dancing. What I want to learn after drama is maybe being more confident and expressing your face because that is hard for me right now. What I want you to know about me is that I have always loved acting, when I was in primary school I loved to act. I was being Clara from the nutcracker, and I loved acting. I thought the emotions were awesome so I acted just like...

Drama Homework(Neutral Characters)

Image
I can hear them talking a little bit, it sounds like general noises, like in real life they would say those words. The main characters are in the centre of the camera, and the neutral characters are in a focus kind of way. The neutral characters are dresses in a darker colours and they don't stand out like the main characters do. Their styles have more patterns in them and more design, when the main characters have plain and a little bit of design. The director focuses on the main characters and show a little bit of the neutral characters to make it look like a scene. It is much more easier to focus on the neutral characters when the sound is off because they you can look at the neutral characters and not concentrate on what the main characters are saying.

Sprinting Techniques

Two things that I did well: What I did well were putting my arms at 90 degrees, and pumping my arms with a lot of action. What I need to work on is: I need to  run tall, and putting my hands to my chin level more.

Parent / Student Agreements

I am responsible to take my laptop home and back because I know all the lessons they taught me in bootcamp, and because I am a responsible person. I will make sure my laptop is charged every night because before I go to bed I will ask myself to look if it is charging in the living room. I will charge it in the living room in the study area. I will charge it after I brush my teeth and before I go to bed.
