Character Extension Blog Post Rain Reign In the book Rain Reign , by Ann M.Martin, Rain has some big emotions. We learned from Rain that she has actually another family. How Rain felt when she had to leave Rose. Rain could go to her original family. She has to fight the sadness to leave Rose for her family. I wonder how Rain looks? How she acts? How she speaks? Really important, How she thinks?   Rose’s dad brought home a dog, it’s name is Rain. Rose loves Rain very, very much. One day on a stormy day, Rain got lost in the storm. The family was madly was looking for her. Though when they got to one place they found out that Rain belongs to another family called The Henderson. Some of Rain’s character traits are friendly, sad, happy, and angry. She is friendly because she loves Rose dearly. Sad because she has to leave Rose. Happy because she is going back to her family. Finally she is angry when Rose’s Dad was yelling at Rose. I think Rain lo...

Fantasy Reading Response- The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe In the book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis the big idea of the story was power. The theme of the story is power is wonderful but dangerous. Another big idea of the story was sacrificing. Also another theme of the story is sacrificing yourself helps people. Power is wonderful but dangerous is one of the themes because the White Witch has a lot of power but she is evil which is not good so she can tell the people who work for her bad things to do. Which is not good because if that happens killing or arresting might come in. Sacrificing yourself helps is another theme because Alsan sacrificed himself to save Edmund who was under the power of the White Witch. So he went out and made a deal with the witch so then he was killed. So Edmund came but to normal not on a spell because Aslan was dead. But Aslan came back alive because if the witch killed him he could live another life, so he did.    The story setting was in Na...

Battle Of the Books Reflection

Image
Today was Battle the Books! My team was Jada,Adam,Jake,Austin, and I. The interesting thing about today was that my group and I bet some other groups know the titles, but not the author's. I think this was interesting because we said the questions fast and then when umm, and what's that until the time was up. Next time when I read a book I am going to try to remember the author's. What I enjoyed about today was the teamwork that was used today. Battle of the Books were all about teamwork because everybody was working together to find the title and the author of the book. Like if you didn't know what the title was and your other teammate knows it than they can help and say the answer. If I could do this over again  I would concentrate more on what the teacher was saying the question for the other team. I would do this because if I knew the title for the other team our team could get a point. I didi this a little bit, but I think I could've done better.      ...

Wonder

We have finished the book Wonder  by R.J. Palacio.   The words I would use to describe this book is it was really suspenseful, exciting, and very interesting.     I think the message of this story is that even though things might not work out in the start they always end well because, everyone was judging Auggie and how he looked and then at the end of the year they were being really kind to him of what happened a the nature reserve.  My favorite character was Jack because he was a little nervous to be friends with Auggie but then and stood up for Auggie and how he looked and was really a true friend. He always explained what happened to him. Jack really needed Auggie and Auggie needed him because Jack couldn't get help for school work and he didn't have a friend to laugh with or tell him what he feels. Another thing is even though Jack had a lot of friends Auggie was one of his best friends throughout the school year because they were a team the...

Non-Fiction Expert Group Presentation Reflection

Image
We have just finished our non-fiction presentations. My group were experts on Germs. Here is Group Presentation . The most interesting thing I learnt about was that not all germs are bad. Some can actually be good because I read it in a book and the information had facts about germs. My job in my group was to talk about how to keep germs from invading in your body and talk about what I learnt to my group in the books because tat's how you work as a team. What I would do differently next time is to not worry about if you forget your lines because if you do then you get overwhelmed and a little scared and then you can mess up even more. I enjoyed it because it was really fun learning about germs and how they move around. Also making the presentation because I learned what other people learned in the presentation.
