End of Year Reflection

End of Year Reflection My new learning in Math 8 this year included… I learned many things in math that I feel are helpful for life outside of class. For example, I've learned how to find the solution in algebra, scientific notation, Pythagorean Theorem, and etc.  I really understand… How to find solutions in Algebra which I will need next year. Many ways to, like: Algebraic symbols Slope-intercept form Table and graph Over summer break, I should review and practice… Practice: Solving One/Two-Step Inequalities  Proportions Unit Rates Review: Unit Conversions Percent of Change Measures of Central Tendency Probability (...specific things you did…) worked well in preparing for the End-of-Year Test test. I reviewed with the review packet I looked at my past worksheets I did a lot of IXL where I think I needed to work on To better prepare for test in high school I should… (be specific, don’t say, “study more.”) Look over packets D...

IWP: Friendship

Image
Dear Reader, Before you listen to our piece, I would like to explain what is happening throughout the poem. Some background knowledge you need to know is that I was in fifth grade, and I had a best friend, but as you know best friends don’t always stay. In some time, she might be moving to Michigan. This was a startle to me because before fifth grade I had no idea. I was terrified what was to come, having no idea that I could make new friends. Throughout the poem, I meet new people and new friends to be. In particular, I meet this girl who I think is unique and might be a close friend later. I then realize she is going through a friendship problem as well. During the poem, I get up the courage and ask her if she wants to join the group. We hung out every day until we have finally hit the stage of being best friends and still going strong today. Throughout writing, we used many mentor texts on the way. One of the mentor texts was called, “Kindness,” by Naomi Shihab Nye...

PE/Health Reflection

What did you enjoy most about PE this year?  What did you enjoy least about PE this year? I really enjoyed trying new and different sports, it made me go out of my comfort zone and try fun things. I also met so many different people and became friends. I also found some units that I really enjoyed and might take in high school. One thing hat I don't like about PE is the mile because I am ok at the short distance running but it's really hard for me to not quit and preserve. Also, I don't like long distance running. What units did you enjoy most?  What units would you add or change? There are so many sports n PE, but in particular, I liked field and floor hockey, this is because floor hockey is very fun. It is fun to move around and try to hit the puck, also I had my friend on my team and she is really good, so it was, even more, fun to play with. I liked field because I think I am pretty good at it, and it's fun to beat my personal score. Like how far I can ju...
