Service Learning Reflection Semester One
We prepared for our Field Trip to the Christalite Methodist Home by looking up on the computer on what we can do and then talking about it at home. Then we started voting as a class on what to do while we go to the Christalite Methodist Home. We picked decorating styrofoam balls and decorating Christmas trees. We got it all planned out. Ms. Hooykaas bought the supplies and then showed it to us. We also read a book kind of like the same message to for the Christalite Methodist Home. The message was caring about people. On the tour of the home I found that the people that work there are really kind to the residents. They have volunteer doctors if they need them. It was cool how much they cared about them.
